KBF Sit Ski

This particular ski design is the culmination of years of work understanding the unique forces that a sit skier puts on the ski. We have increased not only the overall stiffness of the ski but also lengthened the stiffest part of the ski to account for the increased force placed on a single ski. We also incorporated a longer lower tail rocker on the ski to allow it to pivot more freely for low speed control, without sacrificing the ability to carve at higher speeds.

We are thrilled to offer these two platforms in partnership with KBF, Greg and Kelly were integral to the R+D on this project and we are very grateful for that.

From Greg:

"It was a dream come true working with the Parlor Team on this ski. They listened to all my input, got creative and developed the exact custom ski I was looking for and they had fun doing it! They took everything into account; from how sit skiers break their ski right in front and or behind their bindings that most skis are not stable or stiff enough, or hold an edge the way we want them too because they bend differently on all the pressure we put on them, how the heal rips out our bindings and the ability wash your tail out maneuvering around the flats, lift line and around other people. It's rare in the adaptive community where you can get this type of custom service; give input on your needs and get exactly what you want. And the best part, you get to go down to the shop and actually be a part of the process of making the ski, even picking the wood for your sidewalls.

This Parlor ski does everything I asked and more. As a sit skier we put so much more force on single ski than your average stand up skier so having a ski that is stiff, incredibly stable at speed and bend how it actually should is a game changer. It holds an edge better then any ski I'm used to helping you carve/turn comfortably and dynamically. It's all mountain design rips through the bumps, charges on the steeps and torpedoes you through the powder. One less thing to worry about on the mountain when your ski performs the way it should - making you a better skier!"

On our semi custom skis we use a standard flex pattern, which is appropriate for most skiers. The flex pattern for this ski has been designed to match the overall design of this ski and to provide a smooth and responsive feel for the ski

The laminates are the main structural component of our skis. All of our semi custom skis come with our frontside lay up. Built with three layers of Vectorply triaxial fiberglass, this lay up prioritizes dampness and stability while still maintaining a low swing weight.
