Platform
Parlor’s quiver of shapes is designed to address every skiing style and type of terrain. The outline of the ski is the foundation of the build and has the largest impact on how the ski will perform.
Build
Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do at Parlor. Each ski is assembled by hand at our East Boston facility, from start to finish, with careful attention to detail and no corners cut. This means your skis will be beautiful and stand up to the abuse you’ll dish out on the hill.
Camber
Edge contact and the flex of the ski are influenced by camber (camber describes the curve on the bottom of the ski). We use three main profiles in different combinations depending on the ski’s purpose and where/how it will be used.
Flex
Weight and strength are the main determinants of flex. We control flex through the thickness and taper of the core. We have three flex profiles for each platform and length to provide a perfect match for your body type and style.
Core
We use a vertically laminated wood core. Our cores come in 3 options: Aspen, Maple or a hybrid of the two woods. Since wood is the primary core material, species is critical to the character of the ski. The hybrid combination of hard and soft woods based on years of testing to give each ski its unique personality.
Graphics
With each custom ski or board comes the opportunity to work with one of our talented graphic designers. Anything you can dream up can be put on your skis, we also offer a selection of predesigned graphics if you need a place to start, our you can check out the gallery here.
