POWDER

There is nothing like enjoying a deeeeep day on the perfect pair of skis. We engineer these skis for maximum floatation, and ease of turning to allow you to ski longer into the day without getting tired. We use a combination of deep rocker profiles, long tip splay and wide underfoot dimensions to ensure these skis dance in the deeper snow. Powder skis tend to be an addition to the quiver for someone who wants to make the best of the powder days!

Every ski we build is designed for the client. During the fitting we will help you decide which style of ski is correct for you, and then build your specs based on a conversation about your skiing style, physique, and terrain choice.
Here is a description of the specification range for powder skis:

These skis are designed to float on deep, ungroomed snow. A wider ski with ample tip and tail rocker will help ease the workload so you can get the most of your day. Powder says are precious New England and having the right ski for the big storms is a true joy!

COMPARISON

Freeride vs. Powder: For many skiers a wider platform freeride ski will also serve well as a powder ski. The skis that sit in our powder category tend to be very wide, and have a lot of rocker to them this gives them great floatation and make them easy to turn in softer snow, they can be harder to manage on the hardpack because of this. The freeride skis tend to be a bit narrower and with their raised tails and more centered stance tend to be a bit more user friendly in mixed conditions.
